One of the factors that can make breathing easier for livestock is the humidity level in the barn. Humidity makes livestock breathe easier, and the appropriate level should be between 25%-70%. The most important factors that affect humidity levels are when fans are turned on and off, when foggers are operating, and the temperature of the barn.<\/p>

4. Ammonia and CO2<\/sub> control<\/h4>

Ammonia from feces and carbon dioxide from breathing are too dangerous and should be removed in ventilation and replaced with fresh, oxygen-rich air. The normal level of ammonia should not exceed 20 ppm because it can cause disease and reduce livestock production.<\/p>
